MineSync 2.1.0 includes a large amount of performance improvements, underlying code changes and bug fixes, and we're very glad to bring this update to you.
This is our first major update to MineSync 2.x with various underlying code improvements. We continue to be committed to keeping the 2.x (XF 1.x) branch of MineSync filled with new features and bug updates that become available to the 3.x (XF 2.x) version. The changelog can be found in your customer area.
This update includes a number of important and fundamental changes. We strongly advise you read this article thoroughly. Before updating, create backups of your files and database. If you are uncertain of anything with the update procedure, please contact us before updating.
The procedure in itself is not different from normal, but extra care must be taken to ensure the upgrade goes smoothly, and that backups are available in the unlikely case there are issues (as there can be in any software upgrade).

HIGHLIGHT OF CHANGES
MineSync 2.1.x removes Apantic Core and this is no longer a dependency for MineSync. Any necessary components have been integrated directly into MineSync. Please uninstall Apantic Core before upgrading. You do not need to delete its files, the MineSync installer will do this automatically.
MineSync 2.1.x changes the directory structure of MineSync, from /library/Apantic/MineSync2, to /library/nanocode/MineSync. This is an important change which requires all classes to redirect to a different location. We have updated all classes to point to the new location, and use the brand "nanocode" throughout MineSync 2.1.x. Simply upload the new files, and the installer will take care of any changes in this area. You will not need to consider or delete any folders - the installer will clean up all unused MineSync/Core files.
MineSync 2.1.x includes a number of database structure changes and includes some efficient queries to enable performance improvements in certain areas. For this reason, we emphasise that it is essential you make backups, in the unlikely case that something goes wrong with the database changes.
